Presentation
Eimys Ortiz Hernández, Lecturer Serra Húnter in Public International Law and International Relations at the University of Lleida where she defended her Doctoral Thesis under the supervision of Dr Antonio Blanc Altemir. The Doctoral Thesis was defended on the 8th July 2015 and it was granted the excellence cum laude by unanimity (international mention). While her predoctoral studies, she followed the most prestigious summer courses: The Hague Academy, University of the Basque Country, European University Institute and University of Helsinki. Her research interest is focused on the external relations of the European Union, in particular, the Mediterranean Policy and Cuba. She has been member of 2 European projects, 2 national projects and 2 regional ones. Moreover, she has done two research stays at the University of Mohammed V, Rabat (2014) and the Central Library of the European Commission, Brussels (2015). Furthermore, she has participated in diverse national as well international seminars and conferences regarding her area of interest. She is the author of a monograph entitled: Procesos de "europeización" de los sistemas jurídicos de países terceros mediterráneos: especial referencia a Marruecos (Thomson Reuters – Aranzadi, 2016) as well as articles and book chapters. Finally, she is the coordinator of the Law Degree and the Minor in European Law.
