On March 10, the Department of Law hosted the lecture “Tertullian and Judicial Processes Against Christians: Due Process, Religious Conflict, and Legal Rhetoric”, delivered by Dr. Álex Corona Encinas, Permanent Lecturer at the University of Valladolid.

The session examined how Tertullian denounced the violation of Roman law principles in trials against Christians, highlighting the lack of procedural guarantees and the contradictions in the reasoning of Roman judges. The discussion also emphasized the influence of Roman Law on the modern legal system, particularly in matters of justice and due process.
