Last Friday, February 2, 2024, Carlos Amunátegui, Professor of Roman Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, did the conference at the FDET: "Liberty and property. Considerations on the definition of the Civil Code"

The conference set out the relationship between the definition of freedom in the Digest and the property in the French civil code.

Professor Amunátegui highlighted the structural similarity between both definitions, since both begin by qualifying the situation as power or faculty focusing on the possibility of performing those acts that are desired, likewise, both definitions establish the limits of this subjective position, wich makes the kinship between them unquestionable.

The conference was attended by students of the Law degree and the double degree of Law and ADE, as well as several professors from the Universities of Girona, Tarragona, Cádiz and Colombia.
