Celebration of the First Edition of the “ConCiencia Jurídica: 3 Minutes to Make an Impact” Competition

On 26 May, the first edition of the “ConCiencia Jurídica: 3 Minutes to Make an Impact” competition was held in the Board Room of the FDET. This event, organised within the framework of the Department’s seminar series, aimed to promote scientific communication and the transfer of knowledge among early-career researchers.

Six young researchers from the Department took part in this inaugural edition: Manuel Cabanas, Ana Cediel, Anna Naudí, Anna Garcia, Mónica Perna, and Carme Ribes. Each of them presented their research in a dynamic and demanding format, which required them to summarise the purpose, relevance, and impact of their work in just three minutes.

The panel of judges, composed of Dr Teresa Areces, Dr Merche Serrano, and Dr Josep Maria Fontanellas, assessed the presentations based on criteria such as clarity of expression, content quality, ability to synthesise information, and use of language accessible to a general audience. Following a closely contested deliberation, the jury awarded the prizes in this first edition to Anna Naudí and Anna Garcia, whose presentations stood out for their academic rigour, communicative skills, and strong commitment to dissemination.

With this competition, the Department’s seminar series concludes its first edition, consolidating an academic platform that fosters research excellence and a commitment to the public communication of legal knowledge.
